The War Against Ad Fatigue

Founded in 2014, Boosted Shades partnered with PQC 10 years into their journey. After successfully exceeding multi-million dollar revenue targets, Boosted's founders wanted to sell the business by showing high profit margins that required little to no upkeep.  But after a decade of success, Boosted started experiencing what all marketers fear above all else....AD FATIGUE! With products in the $20 per SKU range and a soaring CAC of almost $30, Boosted was in dire straights. PQC was hired to get things back on track.

Klaviyo + Clean Ad Account

The PQC team took one look at Boosted's ad account and knew something was up. The way the ads were structured hindered Meta's ability to economically discover new customers and was driving up CAC 2x - 3x. We set to work on fixing this.

 

Just as importantly, we discovered that only a small percenatge of Boosted's monthly revenue came from repeat customers. After diagnosing the issue, we determined this was due to a lack of core Klaviyo email flows which can contribute 30 - 60% of monthly revenue for certain companies. We immediately began to properly set up Klaviyo flows with on-brand content for Boosted.

In January 2024, PQC saw a precipitous reduction in revenues. Unsure of what to do, they tried new ad creatives, more deals, but had no luck

In mid-March, PQC immediately gets to work on cleaning up Boosted's Meta account. We see an increase of $18,825 in revenue in April.

CONSISTENT SUCCESS, SAME BUDGET With the same budget of $8,000 in January, we see a consistent ROAS of 5.5x.

A Successful Exit

After getting Boosted Shades back on track, interested parties already in conversations with Boosted's founders leapt at the opportunity to purchase a majority stake in the company.
